FAQ

Good questions, asked.

How do you play Call Break?

Four players get thirteen cards each, and spades are always trump. Each round, every player calls how many tricks they will win, then tries to win at least that many. After five rounds the highest total wins.

How is it scored?

Make your call and you score it, plus 0.1 for each extra trick. Miss it and you lose your whole call. So call safe: an extra trick is worth little, a miss costs a lot.

Can I play without internet?

Yes. Practice tables against bots work with no internet, and Nearby lets one phone host a table over the same WiFi so friends in the room can join without any internet connection.

Can it keep score for a game with real cards?

Yes. The scorekeeper records Call Break and Marriage rounds played with a real deck, with your group's own rules, and saves every round as you tap.
